Printer-friendly version

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has issued price estimates for healthcare plans in New Jersey available on the Health Insurance Marketplace, which begins open enrollment on October 1st.  Using the Silver Plan as a benchmark (which will pay at least 70% of healthcare costs) a 24-year old earning $25,000 per year will pay $260/month. With the premium subsidy, the cost will be $145/month.  For a family of four earning $50,000 per year, the Silver Plan will cost $943 per month, reduced to $282 per month with the premium subsidy.  Workers who are offered affordable coverage that meets minimum coverage standards are not eligible for subsidies.

Limited seating still available at three locations for EANJ Healthcare Seminars: http://www.eanj.org/calendar/affordable-care-act-begins-now-lakewood
