Printer-friendly version

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has released guidance indicating that transgender workers should be allowed to use workplace restrooms that correspond with their gender identity.  For example, a transgender woman, although designated at birth as male, should be allowed to use the woman’s restroom if she identifies as female.  The document outlines model practices for employers and can be accessed here.
