(Verona, NJ) At its 86th Annual Meeting, the Employers Association of New Jersey (EANJ) has recognized four New Jersey employers for exceptional workplace practices. Established in 1916, EANJ has strived to apply the collective experience of the entire membership to help each and every member. As an outgrowth of the state's premier employer's association, the Harold R. Hawkey Exceptional Employer Award was created to encourage excellence and replication of best workplace practices.

AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS (AICPA), located in Jersey City, is a professional membership organization serving Certified Public Accountants since 1887. Through their commitment to quality and excellence in all facets of operations, AICPA has developed the System to Accept Responsibility for Job Performance Program (S.T.A.R. Program). This program is designed to correct employee performance problems by focusing on individual responsibility and decision making, not punishment. The majority of participants in this program have shown improvement, most in the early stages of the program. The S.T.A.R. program helps the AICPA stay true to their values of open and candid communication based on honesty, trust, respect and conflict resolution. www.aicpa.org
