Form I-9 Compliance

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the immigrant population has reached a record high of 35 million. This number is 2 ½ times the number of immigrants in the last great wave of immigration to the U.S. The impact of this influx of immigrants into our workforce means more employer responsibility for ensuring an employee's eligibility to work in the U.S. Hence the process begins...enter the I-9.

This program will provide an overview of Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) including: New Hire process, Completing the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility, Reverification Process, Retention of Form I-9, Correcting Missing or Deficient Forms, Employer violations and penalties and Discrimination issues under the Act.
