Governor Christie has signed the "New Jersey Security and Financial Empowerment Act" or "NJ SAFE Act" providing job protected leave to victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.  The law allows for 20 days of protected leave for an employee who was a victim of domestic violence or sexual assault or whose family member was the victim, within one year of the incident.

Employers with 25 or more employees are covered and although there are no regulations as of yet, the law takes effect October 1, 2013.  Join us for this one-hour webinar as we discuss:

  • Overview of the impact of domestic violence on the workplace
  • Who is a covered employer/covered employee under the Act
  • Purposes for which time off is available
