Just because an employee is not eligible for or has exhausted his 12 weeks of FMLA does not necessarily mean your obligations are over.

An employee with a disability may have rights for an extended leave of absence under the ADA.  This program will give you a better understanding of the proper – and protective – steps to take when an employee requests a leave of absence.
