The Retirement Savings Crisis: What Employers Can Do

Printer-friendly version
Time:10am-12pm
Location:EANJ Training Room, Livingston
Sponsored by:EANJ

While America may be facing a political divide, they overwhelmingly agree that there is a retirement savings crisis. A new report by the National Institute on Retirement Security finds that 76 percent of Americans are concerned about their ability to achieve a secure retirement, with that level of worry at 78 percent for Democrats and 76 percent for Republicans. Some 88 percent of Americans agree that the nation faces a retirement crisis, and the concern is high across party lines.

We have learned from employers that sponsor retirement savings plans, that many employers have no idea what they are paying for and their employees remain in the dark.  We also have learned that the current employer-sponsored retirement savings system is the worst combination of expensive products sold to uninformed customers.  Still worse, employers stay with inferior products out of sheer inertia, thus doing a great disservice to themselves and their employees.

That’s why we are convening this meeting to address these problems and why EANJ has sponsored the EANJ Retirement Advantage, a multiple employer plan (MEP, so that you can help your employees achieve retirement security by participating in a customizable, totally transparent, fiduciary-managed, high-quality 401(k) and profit sharing plan.
