Affirmative Action Update: Vietnam Era Readjustment Act (VEVRA) and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act

On August 27th, Vice President Biden announced two rules designed to strengthen VEVRA and Section 503 regulations for federal government contracting.  The rules have now been published in the Federal Register and become effective March 24, 2014.

These rules mean 3 year record retention; documentation and assessment of external outreach efforts; new data collection analysis; new EEO clause and Pre and Post Job offer “Invites to self identify."
