Printer-friendly version

Time:10am-11am
Speaker:Amy Vazquez & John Sarno

With school set to open within just a few weeks, employers need to know how to accommodate working parents whose children’s school or place of care may be unavailable due to COVID-19.  At his time, after weeks of positive health trends, the rate of infection has gone up, particularly among younger residents. Additionally, teachers’ unions have expressed dissatisfaction with state procedures, creating a degree of unpredictability. But regardless of the situation, employer actions will depend on the individual circumstances of each employee.  While each school district may have its own plan for returning students (in-person; virtually; or a hybrid model of both in-person and virtual seem to be the most common scenarios being considered), full-time virtual learning is an option for N.J. parents.
