Printer-friendly version

Time:10am-11am
Speaker:John J. Sarno

While workplace discrimination based on gender identity is not yet specifically prohibited by Title VII or other federal laws governing discrimination in employment, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has taken the position that transgender discrimination is discrimination on the basis of "sex."  Further, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination makes it unlawful for an employer in NJ to discriminate due to gender identity and expression.  Join us for this one hour session as we examine the issues surrounding gender stereotyping, identity and expression in the workplace.
