Virtually every employee working in NJ is eligible for Paid Leave from work when they need time to care for an ill loved one, bond with a new child, cope with domestic and sexual violence and address other caregiving needs. But often small employers aren’t aware of these benefits and how they apply to their workers.
A new collaborative is bringing together a diverse range of organizations to discuss the value of paid leave in an effort to raise awareness and understanding of the benefits available.
The launch of the new NJ Paid Leave Outreach Collaborative will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd on Zoom from 10am - 11:30am, and we invite you to join us to be a part of this founding meeting.
The first meeting of this growing group will cover the following topics:
- Primer Presentation on Paid Leave in New Jersey
- Overview of Recent Research on Paid Leave and How it Can Inform Outreach
- The Goals of the NJ Paid Leave Outreach Collaborative
- How Your Organization Can Help Increase Awareness & Understanding of Paid Leave
Guest presenters include experts on paid family leave from New Jersey Citizen Action, Rutgers's Center for Women and Work, the Employers Association of New Jersey, the NJ Department of Labor, and more!
