ADA Amendments Enacted

President Bush has signed major changes to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), enacting sweeping changes to the law, which will override US Supreme Court decisions that have narrowed its scope.  Among other things, people who have mitigated the limitations caused by disability conditions with medications will be protected by the law.  The amendments also clarify what constitutes a “major life activity.”
