Employers not required to pay for COVID tests unless on working time

According to the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD), employers are not required to pay for COVID testing if an employee chooses not to be vaccinated, unless the employer specifically directs that the test occur during working hours, or at a location of the employer’s choosing.  
 
While a federal court of appeals has blocked implementation of the COVID vaccine mandate rules, and OSHA has agreed not to begin enforcement pending a court decision, many employers are still preparing for the mandate, which takes full effect Jan. 4.  Details and Registration for EANJ's one-hour Webinar.
