The U.S. Department of Labor has finalized a rule to raise the salary threshold for the Fair Labor Standards Act's white-collar exemptions to $35,308 per year from $23,660. There is no indication at the present time whether New Jersey will accept the new salary threshold as is or establish a higher one for state employers.
