A new law raises the amount of compensation individuals will receive for serving on a grand or petit jury in a New Jersey court. Currently jurors receive $5 for each day of attendance. This law will provide for an additional $35 for each consecutive day of attendance in excess of 3 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, State holidays and days when a trial is in recess.
