NJ Minimum Wage Remains Unchanged for 2016

New Jersey’s minimum wage will remain unchanged at $8.38 per hour in 2016.  The rate is tied to the consumer price index for all urban wage earners which edged down over the past year, resulting in no increase to the state’s minimum wage for the upcoming year.

Federal Contractor Minimum Wage Increase

Beginning on January 1, 2016, the minimum wage-rate floor for certain Federal contractors and subcontractors, required by President Obama’s Executive Order 13658, will be $10.15 per hour.  The new rate is a $.05 increase over the 2015 minimum wage rate.  More information can be found on the DOL Website.
