NJ unemployed workers to get additional 20 weeks of benefits

Printer-friendly version

Unemployed workers will be eligible for an additional 20 weeks of benefits in New Jersey.  The 20 week extension kicks in after claimants exhaust their 26 weeks of regular state unemployment plus the additional 13 weeks of federal Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), bringing the maximum number of weeks an eligible claimant may receive to 59 weeks.  Workers will be automatically enrolled into extended benefits as their federal extension ends.
