The US Department of Labor has revised the model COBRA Election Notice to inform qualified beneficiaries that coverage may be available to them through the Health Insurance Marketplace. In addition, certain individuals may be eligible for a premium tax credit by obtaining coverage through the Marketplace, making Marketplace coverage an attractive alternative to COBRA.
