A Department Q&A session held on Jan. 6, 2011 gave a preview of what the agency has in store for employers. Among the plans are requiring employers to notify workers whether they're employees or independent contractors, and why. Plans for new recordkeeping rules requiring employers to provide wage statements each pay period to employees are are also under consideration
